Unused 'Modern' Achitect

This is guy became the first casualty of Gates of Gotham, before it even hit the shelves.

So I know most of you have seen the original cover for issue 3 and were like "who the hell is that dude" well this is he.

He was what was supposed to be the "modern" version of the Steampunk Architect in Gates of Gotham.

I'm so glad this guy hit the cutting room floor for so many reasons, but manly because I don't think he looks very "Batman" esq. My idea when I was designing him was I wanted a slick modern version of the clunky Victorian age guy. A couple of things influenced me here, like Dead Space and the ninja from Metal Gear Solid obviously but ultimately looking at him now he's just too "Batman Beyond" and really didn't belong in the current Bat-World.

There were other reason for his never-wasness but in the end, so happy he's outta there.

Who knows, he may pop up in some other story down the line, but not exactly like this, probably will change him a bit.
